Located on 12 ST, Inglewood, this project aims to expand commercial activity toward the upcoming green line station. The area is far from fit for the major upcoming transit, and ARP improvements. Additionally the development ties into the "grungy" of Inglewood by emphasizing exposed structure from the inside. This creates a certain honesty in the building again relating to neighborhood's character, and being neat to see building systems in action (possibly the technologist in me speaking).
I believe this project is a perfect example of my research and problem solving skills. From figuring out drainage for the complex roofs, to fitting all public spaces within a narrow corridor, to creating my own solution to a removable brick screen, this project was fraught with many challenges. The screen in particular had no case studies or details to reference off of so the solution was the result of thorough research and ideation. The end result I believe is my best work yet and a major learning experience.
